PM 5. Know how to organise and schedule post production activities

PM 3. Be able to co-ordinate a production process

During the first sprint, we had a list of objectives we had to get done as a team. Below is that list:

  • A fully modelled/rigged and hopefully animated protagonist
  • A fully modelled/rigged and animated deer.
  • A partially modelled/boxed out environment in unreal.
  • A fully functioning AI/animal behaviour system.
  • A fully functioning possession blueprint
  • A fully functioning death system

We managed to get all but one thing done, being the death system. Above is the video of a partially blocked out level with assets/textures and a particle system for snow for the prototype level, and a animated deer/protagonist which can be possessed.

Despite not completing all of our goals for the first sprint, we are happy with how far we have come in just under a month. The only thing we aren’t happy with is the fact that we wish we could’ve had more gameplay in the prototype. It seems as if the prototype has got a lot that works but nothing to actually do to get the point of the game across. Hopefully now that we are in the swing of things, proper gameplay will be added In the second sprint without many problems.
